big news!

Adalynn’s 9 month check-up was this week. She’s 27 ½ inches long, 17 pounds and 14 ounces, with a head circumference of 18. She’s doing great!! She’s only gained about a pound and a half since last visit, so she’s still on the small side, but the doctor said that was just fine.

And we’ve got big news……drum roll please…..she’s been standing ALL BY HERSELF!!! Not for very long lol but it’s a start. Unfortunately, this means she’s also busted her face on the coffee table =( She has been teething (they’ve broke skin!) and when she fell, she hit her top tooth on the coffee table and cut it pretty bad. I felt awful for her bc they had already been hurting and that couldn’t have helped.

Addy has learned a few more things this past week: Eskimo kisses, high-fives, saying “mmmwah” when she gives kisses, and she realized she can reach the piano (not my favorite!). She’s also completely mastered rolling over and crawling away mid diaper change ;) And she dances hahaha. She’ll go to her activity table, make it play music then start dancing and singing….too freakin’ cute!

9 months!

I can’t believe Adalynn is NINE months today! She’s grown up so fast. She’s such a happy baby and man, does she have some personality :) She’s recently started to understand joking and playing. She LOVES playing chase…she’ll take off and stop to look at me and when I come after her she throws her arms up, starts laughing and crawling as fast as she can! She also has an amazing ability to ignore me…especially if veggies are involved.

Here’s an overview of our last couple weeks!

I took her to see a kiddy music group at the library. She was hilarious :) Much to Jason’s pleasure she loves music. She was clapping, singing, and dancing! She sings at church too lol…a very loud “AHHHhhhhHHHHHhhh”.

Addy enjoyed her first Fourth of July! She was in awe of all the fireworks (as well as some light sabers a bunch of kids had…I fully expect a “Mommy can I” next year!). The look of wonder on her face was so sweet.

We also went to the Little Rock zoo with Pappy. Most of the animals were inside, laughing at all the supposedly “smarter species” walking around in the heat, so we didn’t see a whole lot :) But she loved the giraffes…and of course, her favorite, the snow cone! I had thought I would get a sweet picture of her enjoying the carousel, but she was in an all out war with her hair bow…the bow lost :)
